Author : Kris Gonalez (Team Lead for the Switch Arm)  Objective/Goal for the week: This week the Electrical team is responsible for completing the 3rd version of the PCB. This PCB will be sent to JLCPCB for SMT assembly and manufacturing. We hope to get this done by Friday afternoon, and the PCB should arrive by the time of the next presentation, if not shortly after.  The CAD team is still currently re-designing the Switch-Arm based off of the feedback from the 1st presentation. The main goal is to create a design that will be compatible with the latest PYS design designed by the Track team while retaining many of the designs already established by us.   The Programming team is in the process of using our 2nd version of the PCB. There has been some troubleshooting with uploading the Arduino firmware onto the ATmega328p-AU. The PCB works, evident by the attached LED on D13, so we believe the issues lie in the Arduino software itself as a bootloader. The goal is to fix this issue by the

His main goal for the future is to start a company focusing on consumer and industrial Robotics. When not at school, he often spends most of his time 3D printing, repairing old gadgets, designing robots, or watching films with his family. Kris is the team leader for the Switch Arm team, where he brings a vast array of knowledge for electronics, CAD, and programming, that he can transfer to his teammates. Born in Santa Cruz, and raised in the small town of Pescadero along the coast, Kris has always looked off to the sunset dreaming of a day when his work could be of utmost importance — to bring about change for the better.
